Daily Prayer Daily Prayer is the foundation of the Christian Faith. We Commune with God every Morning, Noon and Evening in prayer. The Provost offers prayers daily Morning and Evening, alone and with others when possible. The Scottish Episcopal Church has a form of Daily Prayers. |
Sunday 8am Holy Communion We gather every Sunday morning at 8am in the Chapel of the Passion of our Lord (also known as the Lady Chapel). We use the Scottish Liturgy 1970 and the Readings from the Scottish Prayer Book 1929. |
Sunday 10.30am Sunday School and Crèche Children and Young People gather every Sunday for worship. Crèche and Sunday School meet every Sunday in the John Skinner Centre from 10.30am. |
Sunday 10.45am Sung Eucharist Sung Eucharist on Sundays is our main service of Holy Communion with Hymns, Psalms, Reading of the Scriptures from the Hebrew and Greek Bibles known as the Old and New Testament. We reflect on the readings, hymns and prayers with a Homily. We remember before God, the needs of the world, the Church, our loved ones and of our own. The form of Service used at this worship is the Scottish Liturgy. The Singing is normally led by a Trebles Choir with young people singing in glorious harmony. Order of Service is available on Sunday mornings to download. This is normally available online on the Home page of this website and also on our Facebook page. |
Sunday 6.30pm Choral Evensong Choral Evensong is service of Hymns, Psalms, Canticles, Readings from the Scriptures, Prayers and Anthems. We gather mostly on the First Sunday of the month and on other occasions as notified in the calendar. This service incorporates time for reflection with the singing of an Anthem. The Choir normally convenes afterwards for social libations. |
Thursday 10am Holy Communion This is our midweek Communion Service. This a short said service with some background music but no hymns. The Sacrament is offered in both kinds at this service. |
Thursday 7pm Liturgy of Peace We gather online and in person for weekly study group during term time. |
